Latrica Ryan (back, center) sits with 9 of her 10 children, who range in age from 2 months to 13 years, at their home in Flint. “It’s not as hard as people think,” Ryan says of raising so many children. She recieves a lot of help, including transportation and diapers, from services like FACED and from many friends and family. With all the kids, one thing Ryan doesn’t have and desperately needs is a washer and dryer.
