SBO 2010 3s Qualifiers / Return of World Championships of 3s – June 26/27
From the team that put together Sunroute Cup (with MOV) comes a double feature 3s weekend!!
First, the sought after North American 3s qualifier spot for Super Battle Opera 2010! This year the SBO bracket will only have 16 teams, making this years qualifier spot more important than ever. The rules for this event are as follows…
3 Man teams
No repeat characters on teams (eg. Chun/Ken/Ken is forbidden)
Best of 3 sets
Double Elimination
Judgment in play
$75 per team to enter ($25 per player)
This qualifier is completely player run and there is a commitment to at least 20% of the players airfare to be covered. If the winning team is not able to attend, the second place team will be sent as representatives in their place. The winning team cannot substitute players after qualifying.

Hey all,
Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been having some trouble with my domain/server/all that shit. Moving along–The controversial Anime Matsuri convention and tournament took place this past weekend, and I can’t seem to find results. From what I’ve heard:
3rd Strike singles:
1st – Emphy
2nd – Justin Wong
3rd – Alex Ennis
4th – Fubarduck
Word on the street is that Fubar sent Justin to losers, then got peaced out by Alex Ennis. Can anyone verify? (I heard this from Jaime, and he’s a lying mexican, so this still remains unconfirmed.)
Correction: Jaime is in fact a liar. Fubar lost to justin in winners, then alex ennis peaced him out because losers was 1 game. This tourney sounds badass.
In teams, Fubar’s team (I think it was marn, jwong, and fubar) took first place.
Good job guys, and please fill in the blanks–I’d like to know as many of the results as possible.

Here are the 3S results of the Austin tournament held 2/23/08, aka:
“Thy shall obey god, or get your head fuckin bashed in” tourney.
3rd Strike – 27 entrants
1) Lee aka LJCephas aka Cepha82 aka mr. swingback aka punchabitchacles aka GOD!
2) Dan N aka did not obey god so god made an example out of me and bashed my head in.
3) [-_-] aka did not obey god.
4) Jose Ryu aka did not obey god.
5) Jonlo aka did not obey god.
The tourney was REALLY crowded, great turnout for an Austin tourney. Much better than that one that was thrown last year sometime and had like 7 people for 3S. It was nostalgic being there and reminded me of old stargate tournaments. Crowded, smelly, hot, and running really late, the Austin tourney was still a success! 3S was hot, chrisdat was knocked out of tourney relatively early. Dude lost to Dan in winners, then god imposed his will on him in losers in a close match. Lee lost early to Alex Ennis and was sent to Losers like after his second match, but that dude blasted through losers to take the whole tourney. Unfortunately Mopreme and I arrived late to the tournament(despite it starting 3 hours late) and could not enter. Fubarduck was in Houston so he could not attend, and Hsien Chang was….well I don’t know where the fuck that dude is. This begs the question: Had we been there, would god still have been able to have his way with that tournament? I think not… jp good job faggot…
